Tower Research is a design research initiative by LC Architects that investigates the structural, environmental, and spatial potential of high-rise building typologies. Conducted by Natassa Lianou and Ermis Chalvatzis, the research explores how computational design methods can push the boundaries of tall building design, producing towers that are more efficient, more responsive to their environment, and more architecturally expressive.

The project examines fundamental questions about how tall buildings interact with wind, light, and gravity, using parametric modelling and simulation to generate structural systems that are optimised for performance while creating distinctive architectural forms. The research draws on the practice's expertise in exoskeletal structures, facade engineering, and environmental analysis.

Tower Research feeds directly into LC Architects' commercial tower projects, providing the theoretical and computational foundation for designs such as Athens Up and Athens Vision. The research demonstrates the practice's commitment to innovation in high-rise architecture, advancing knowledge in a building typology that will play an increasingly important role in sustainable urban development.
